At first, it was cute. When we began working at home during our self-isolation period, we got a huge kick out of posting social media photos of our pets and jokingly referring to them as “coworkers.” As in, “My coworker, Fido, keeps coming to work without pants.” Hilarious. Or, “My coworker, Paw Newman, has been eating ‘treats’ from the kitty litter box again.” The entertainment value seemed high.
But now that we’ve all been working from home for a few weeks, people are discovering not only that their pets make terrible coworkers but they also are more demanding than any boss could ever be. Click here to read the full column.
