If you’ve been on the internet for at least 10 minutes over the past two days, you likely saw the announcement that Mattel has created new Ken dolls. The purpose, apparently, was to create more realistic men for Barbie to date.
Right there, I had a problem with the redesign. Ken has a plastic mound where his (whisper) boy parts should be. I’m not sure how giving him a dadbod and man bun is going to make him more realistic dating material. Click here to read the entire column and see more photos on AL.com.
