Did you know Fort Worth, Texas, is the 13th largest city in the U.S.? Me either, until I went there. About 900,000 people live in Fort Worth, which was settled in 1849 and quickly became the hub of the longhorn cattle trade.
I’ve already written about our stay in the Stockyards in a hotel room where Bonnie and Clyde stayed and a historic Art Deco rail terminal so this post will be mostly photos, random shots we took around the city. They have descriptions in the captions, if I have any info on them.

The Fort Worth Water Gardens was really fascinating. It is a “refreshing oasis” in downtown Fort Worth designed by Phillip Johnson. The city website says, “The Water Gardens is an architectural and engineering marvel to be enjoyed any time of the year. Visitors can experience a variety of water features as they wander through this relaxing urban plaza. The park features three pools of water: the aerating, the quiet and the active pool.”
Part of the movie “Logan’s Run” was filmed there in 1975. (Photo by Kelly Kazek)

Hi Kelly,
Beautiful pictures. However, you might want to edit your first line. I kinda think Fort Worth is not the 13th largest state 😳😂
